Arirang @ Victoria Plaza Davao City

There’s this little store in the Victoria Plaza compound that’s called Arirang.  This place has been around even before the Korean explosion that happened here in Davao where almost all of the girls go gaga over Koreanovelas.  Arirang is the place we go to when we’re in the mood for something unique.

All of Arirang’s shelves are filled with instant mixes from Korea kile curry pastes, powders, chillis and even herbal tea.  The great thing about this place is that the cashier/storekeeper has tried every single one of their goods personally and can give you a Filipino opinion on the taste of the product.

They also have sauces, noodles, canned goods and even some kitchen utensils to make your Korean experience more authentic.

Their hopefully endless supply of Melona Ice Cream Bar.  It’s so tasty and velvety that even if you eat a bunch of them at one sitting, you’ll never grow tired of them.  The Melona Ice Cream bars arent exactly cheap at 35 pesos per piece but it sure is worth every peso, no locally made ice cream can compare with the flavor and the addicting quality of Melona.  So if you’re ever Lost in Davao and you need an ice cream fix, just drop by Arirang at the Victoria Plaza Compound and grab yourself a couple of these deliciously addicting dessert bars.
